Getting it Done
Are you tired of wasting most of every day on stuff that doesn't matter? Are you "solving" the same problems over and over again? This section is all about Getting It DONE! What should you be DOING NOW to make your business dreams come true? You start by developing your Mission, Target Market, Vision, USP, Values and Goals. The Setting Sight exercises establish the boundaries of your business plan. You create the Organization Chart and Position Descriptions to help you with Building your Team. In the Making Money section you work towards getting to KFP - Known Financial Position and create your Budget to support your financial Goals. You develop your sales skills and marketing plan in the Getting it Sold section. Note how the sections flow from one to the other. As you build your business plan, write down any ideas, “to do's” and projects on your Master To Do List. The Master To Do List keeps you from losing track of the things that need to be done to build your business. Your Master To Do List may become a very long list! So...what to do first? What should you focus on DOING NOW to achieve your Goals? The Getting it Done section of The Bare Bones Biz Plan helps you be more productive. Top Projects ListThe Top Project List can help you get things done and keep you from being overwhelmed. The Top Projects are the FEW projects that you and your team will FOCUS on NOW to help you accomplish your Goals. Look over the “A” Priority Goals on the Goal sheet in the Setting Sight section of your Biz Plan Binder. What actions, projects, “to do's” will help you accomplish those Goals? The items on your Master To Do List may inspire you as to what needs to be done to move you to your Goals. Remember the saying, "How do you eat an elephant?" The answer is, of course, One bite at a time.” The next question may be, "Where do I start?"” The answer, "It really doesn't matter!" Would you like help putting together your Top Projects List? Ask your team members for their input. However, the final decision is yours. Put no more than ten projects on the Top Projects list. For another project to make it to the Top Projects list, one project has to get done and moved off the list. Store a copy of your Top Projects List in the Getting it Done section of your Biz Plan Binder.
